Purple Heart and Gold Star recipients were honored at a special event on August 5th held at Avenue of the Flags in Buellton. Sponsors for the event were the Cloverlane Foundation and Santa Ynez Community Outreach. The Foodbank of Santa Barbara County donated over 600 hamburgers and 150 hot dogs. Volunteers from several local organizations helped with the food and ensured that everyone was taken care of. We thank Gerald Chase, Founder of Cloverlane Foundation and Pam Gnekow, CEO of SYV Community Outreach for their ongoing dedication to veterans and their families.
